An application for permission to organize the First State Bank of Olmsted was submitted to Springfield, IL on August 6, 1921. Forty-nine area individuals raised $20,000 in capital stock. Today, the bank operates two full-service locations in Olmsted and just off I-57 at the Mounds exit. Also, the bank offers a Loan Production Office in Vienna.
